A Dynamic Pricing Methodology for Generator Based on UI Mechanism Under ABT

Abstract :

In the present paper three random variables, (a) Load as per RLDC generation schedule a day ahead, (b) the availability of units to be generated, and (c) the unscheduled interchange rate (UI Rate) which is linked with the grid frequency are used to compute the predicted revenue a day ahead. For dynamic pricing of generator A model to optimize the revenue by declaring generation availability a day ahead using UI mechanism under the ‘Availability Based Tariff’ is developed with programming. An example with suitable station data is also shown to support the model.
