Modified lip repositioning: A technique for smile enhancement

Abstract :

This case report describes the use of surgical modified lip repositioning technique for the management of excessive gingival display. This procedure restricts the muscle pull of the elevator lip muscles by shortening the vestibular depth, thus reducing the gingival display when smiling. Healing was uneventful and follow up examinations of 3 months revealed reduced gingival display.
